I definitely do things differently. I don't shoot in a studio, I don't have standard contracts, I don't offer albums that will break the bank, and I won't pretend to be something I'm not. MY WEDDING STYLE When I shoot weddings, my goal is the capture the story of YOUR event. That means I'll need to get to know you: your details, your schedule, the reasons you chose your venue and learn about the relationships you share with those you love. The day of the wedding, I'm a quiet presence who is constantly looking and listening for those great moments to happen. I believe that shooting Formals are a must... but my favorite thing to capture is EMOTION: Laughter, excitement, nerves, relief, tears and joy. In most cases, you may not realize I'm taking your picture.... I believe some of the best photos happen when you don't realize the camera is on. So the best thing you can do is have a great time... and let me capture it.
PHOTO SESSIONS I lovvveee people. Portrait sessions are one of my favorite things to do. So whether you're interested in an Engagement Session, Senior Pictures, Famliy Photos or Head Shots, I'm your girl. Don't expect the ordinary. If you're coming to me, I'll likely throw you in my car and drive around. I LOVE natural light and shoot most everything outdoors. I live in La Plata, Md close to the water, a golf course, next to fields, barns, and wooded areas; I'm always looking for new backgrounds to use. Dress comfortably cause you never know where we'll go! What you can be sure of, is that your portrait session will have a variety of beautiful photos to choose from. I color correct and edit every picture BEFORE you see it, and then I give you those high resolution files so you have all the rights for printing your own photographs.

When a bride announces that they have Pinterest images to share with me...I get a little scared. There's no doubt in my mind...Pinterest is a fantastic way to collect ideas. And I think the best time to share ideas is before we book. Talking with my clients and sharing photos allows me to determine what THEY want to see... and ultimately helps me determine whether we're a good fit. But if you give me a few dozen photos you've pinned, and ask me to study them for the wedding day... I won't be giving you MY best. I'll be focusing on trying to re-create something that may or may not be possible to copy. Please don't ask me to be something that I'm not. Have faith in yourself. You don't need to copy something that's already been done. There's a story to be told at your wedding, and THERE'S NO OTHER STORY LIKE YOURS. I will illustrate your personal style and the things that make your relationship UNIQUE. Allow me to capture it in a way that best suits YOUR personal connection with one another.
