I hired Jill as our lead album designer that August. With her strong background in graphic design, I knew she’d be perfect for the position. “Designing albums is rewarding. I love hearing a bride say she looked at her album, laughed, cried and re-lived all the emotions of the day. The storybook our company offers is a perfect way to capture the uniqueness of each event. It allows us to highlight not only people, but the small details and personal touches that the bride and groom have spent so much time planning."
In January of 2005, Jill became my permanent wedding photography assistant. "Jill is smart with her camera, and her talent is undeniable. I was eager to hire her to accommodate our portrait session demands, and I am thrilled that she is ready to take on wedding events."
Jill began shooting weddings solo in 2006 and has done a phenomenal job. “I strive to always find genuine emotion throughout the wedding day, and that's what I shoot. A wedding day is filled with laughter, tears, nervousness, love and joy, and if I can anticipate when these emotions will surface and capture them as they happen, I know I've gotten a great shot. I'm constantly trying to reflect the uniqueness of each event through my work. No two weddings are the same, so I keep an open mind at each new event about what will work best for that particular day. It's an honor to capture memories on film; whether it's a corporate event, a wedding, or a child's first birthday. A good photo is timeless." |
