I first met Jill in 1997 when she took my photograph for an article she was writing while employed as a journalist for the Board of Education. She has a sincere appreciation for photojournalism. "I started taking pictures at family events to avoid having my own picture taken, but it didn't take long for me to fall in love with photography. Every time I look through a lens, I see something that I didn't see before. It's a wonderful way to discover the world.”
A native of Charles County Maryland, Jill received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park in December 2002, and a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Communication at George Washington University in May 2006.
Her sister's wedding brought us together again in 2004 at which time she emailed me asking if I had any openings within my company. "After helping my sister shop for wedding photographers, I was so impressed with Sandi's work and shooting philosophy that I knew I had to work for her. Her love for photography was contagious."
